ASCENSION MEDITATION

Take a few deep breaths and feel yourself being at the center of yourself calm and safe within your own being. Take another breath and imagine yourself walking up a short path leading to a temple located on the top of a small hill. This is the Temple of Light, constructed to assist you in bringing balance and harmony to your life. The temple is bathed in light and there are seven steps leading to the opened door of this magnificent temple. The path ends and your are at the first step. Breathe deeply once more.

Take yet another deep centering breath and step up on the first step. The light that washes over you is red and enlivening. It is the light of the inner sun sitting at the center of the earth. As you take a few gentle breaths, you feel the energy of this light and you experience a great surge of vigor and creativity. This wondrous red light quickens and energies your first chakra giving you a surge of health and beginning the process of regenerating your physical body. Your drink in the red light and prepare to continue your journey to the Temple of Light.

You mount the second step carrying with you the energy and gifts from the first. The light on this step is orange. It’s of the molten lava of the earth and gives you the energy to create. You absorb this light into every atom of your physical body and you are filled with the wonders of the universe and receive the power to create your dreams. The fire of your possibilities spring to life and you feel your enormous power.

Step now on the third step leading to the Temple of Light. The light which greets you here is yellow. The sun itself is shining on you and in you. You feel the brilliance of yourself and a deep sense of gratitude and health fills your whole being. You pause to absorb this brilliance knowing that it is from your greater self and a gift to your physical being. You are energized and filled with renewing light. You are now ready for your next step.

You now climb the fourth step. The light meeting you here is green, the color of love. You breath deeply and absorb into every fibre of your being the power of the love of which you are made. As this light blends with the previous three within you, you feel a deep sense of empowerment surging up from the deepest portions of yourself and you feel the strength of love and know you are made from this very love. You breathe deeply and feel the fulness only love can give. You are now ready to take the next step, taking all the gifts of the previous four with you.

You mount the fifth step. The color of the light greeting you here is blue. Every shade of blue blends into the deepest blue you have ever known. As you breathe you absorb this light into your very self and feel the power and glory of your beginning. You know you spoke the word that made manifest all that you are and you can speak a new word to manifest the reality of your dreams. You are filled with the power to accomplish your heart’s desires and you are very grateful and humble. You drink of this empowering light and make ready for your sixth step.

Climb now upon the sixth step, taking all the power, love and gratitude of the previous five. As you stand on this last step and view the opened door of the Temple of Light a wondrous indigo light flood your being. Immediately your vision is clear and you can see the past, present and the future. It is all there before you in the indigo light which is shining over you and being absorbed into your entire being. All is bright and clear and you can understand all the jogs and turns your life have taken up to this moment. A deeper sense of gratitude well up within you for the grace that brought you to this moment. You are ready to take the seventh and final step into the Temple of Light.

You step upon the seventh step, which is the threshold into the Temple of Light. You are bathed with a purple light. You are moved into a new level of peace and gratitude for the grace and gifts you are and have. You breathe and an abiding silence fills you as you enter the space where words are not needed. You bask within this silence and know all you need to know to complete your journey on this earth and accomplish the glorious work you incarnated to do. The abiding silence fills you completely and you’re satisfied.

You step over the threshold and enter the Temple of Light. There is a profound peace here within the temple. You bask in the light of your own peace and become even more still. As you stand there in wonder and joy, you breathe deeply and relax within the embrace of your own light. Then a most miraculous event occurs. All around you and emanating from you is the purest of light, bright white and comforting. This is a blending of the spectrum through which you have come and to which your are ascending. Now you know your are light, made of light and wondrous.

You end your meditation with gratitude, and know you can take this journey to the Temple of Light whenever you choose.
